DAVII SS26

DAVII’s SS26 collection is, quoting the brand’s creative director, “a celebration of the beauty that emerges when organic shapes meet modern design” and I honestly agree. Before the show, just scrolling through their social media, the brand already felt like brutalist architecture placed next to a flowing river, if that makes any sense at all. The collection is titled “Reimagined Forms”, and everything about it feels futuristic, especially the silhouettes. Neoprene and silk organza are the main fabrics here, and the pattern making really carries the collection. These are light materials, yet they hold their shape beautifully, which I find very satisfying to look at.

I cannot stress enough how much I love the silhouettes in this collection. I’m a sucker for contrast, structure meeting softness, control meeting fluidity, and this show delivered exactly that. I managed to take this shot from the side during the second round of the show, yes, it walked twice, and tell me this doesn’t look like an alien in the best possible way.

I’ll end this here and let the rest of the gallery do the talking.
