Alberto Zambelli SS26

The theme for Alberto Zambelli’s SS26 collection is DECO-N-STRUCT, inspired by Le Corbusier’s L’angle droit. The concept plays with the right angle as a universal symbol of balance. Vertical and horizontal, masculine and feminine, earth and water, light and shadow. It is all about equilibrium.

This season Zambelli collaborated with Lineapple and introduced several leather looks. They were minimal, sculptural, and very focused on texture and light. The venue had huge window panes on all sides, letting natural light flood in. When the light hit the leather from the right angle, especially when the models moved, it created this soft reflective sheen that felt very intentional.

Moving away from the smooth leather pieces, Zambelli also presented knitwear that was slightly sheer with dropped stitches arranged in a controlled, repetitive pattern. It added texture without making the look chaotic.

And then there was the very first look that opened the show, created with a special weaving technique. It instantly caught my eye and stayed with me.

Overall, this show has a lot of layers waiting to be discovered. The looks are simple and minimalistic, yet they carry a lightweight kind of drama with so many textures and techniques woven into each piece. I wish I could have seen everything up close backstage, because there is so much more detail I would have loved to study.
