Tokyo James built this season around the idea of chaos and turned disruption into something intentional. The collection mixes sharp tailoring with striking fabric techniques. There was weaving, ruffles, embroidery, lace, and crochet accessories, all working together in a way that feels bold but controlled.
Backstage had the same energy. I was there for about fifteen minutes and the models were already giving serious boss bitch vibes before stepping onto the runway.

The lighting on the runway was a bit moody, so the vibe turned out very different from what I captured backstage. Even so, I managed to get some incredible shots that feel true to my style, just in a lighting setup I don’t normally work with. These are two of my favorites from the whole collection. The mood of the light, the attitude from the models, the pose… pure drama.

The photo below shows one of the sharpest leather jackets I’ve seen so far. The weaving technique running from the hem up to the hood is insane. You’ll see that same technique on other pieces too, like the pants. And aside from the weaving, there were crochet bags and hats featured throughout the collection.

Overall, this collection and the entire runway showed incredible craftsmanship, with every element working together so well. And props to the models, especially the women who absolutely slayed the runway. I can’t wait to see what Tokyo James does next!
