Milan Fashion Week SS26 Street Style

Milan’s SS26 menswear fashion week is 80% presentations and 20% shows this time around. And this season marks my debut photographing runway shows, 3 shows and 1 presentation to be exact. That, plus the insane heat, means I barely spent any time outside shooting street style.

The only street style photos I took this season were outside both of Armani’s shows. Here are some of my favorites:

There wasn’t any overly saturated or dominant trend this season. Armani guests showed up in relaxed yet sharp silhouettes. Signature elements like liquid organza and their impeccably tailored suits were on full display. The one recurring theme I did notice, though, was exposed torsos. You see it at Miguel Vieira and David Catalán’s SS26 shows and all over the streets too. Is it a trend, or is it just the heat? It’s the chicken and egg question all over again.

There are so many points I want to talk about, even though I didn’t take that many photos this season.
First, I think I subconsciously love shooting portraits. A lot of my half-body shots turned out better than the full-body ones.
Second, I’ve found a new love for using flash in broad daylight. This was my first time trying it, and I AM LOVING the results. I actually had no choice during Giorgio Armani’s show since it was midday and the shadows were harsh and unflattering. Honestly, I didn’t take a single photo without flash this season. Flash is not easy to master but I am definitely getting the hang of it.
Third, summer is hell. I tried standing near the venue entrance to get a better view of the important guests, but between the body odor, standing on my tippy toes and my claustrophobia, the front row just wasn’t worth it. Plus, I got smacked in the head by someone’s absurdly long telephoto lens.

Before I end this post with the full gallery, I have a question for anyone still reading, is this photo a vibe? I feel like there’s some potential there, but maybe it’s just the abs talking. Full disclosure: I did not purposely took this shot, it was a complete coincidence, I swear.

Anyway, here’s the full gallery. I also sneaked in a few shots of show attendees I took inside Fondazione Sozzani.
