This was my second time photographing fashion week, and my first time covering menswear. Compared to womenswear, the schedule was definitely lighter, but the people who showed up did not disappoint.

I photographed outside three shows this season: Prada, Dhruv Kapoor, and Giorgio Armani. Maybe four if you count Zegna, but I only managed a few shots there because the rain was pouring.

The first show I covered was Prada. A few big names were in attendance like Anna Dello Russo and Caroline Daur. But what caught my eye most was how people made the minimalist Prada look feel personal. Tattoos, jewelry, cigarettes (which seems to be a thing), and the general attitude. It all added something real and personal, and it worked.

The second show I covered was Dhruv Kapoor. The venue was just down the street from Prada’s. I noticed a good number of attendees arrived already dressed in the brand’s pieces — a lot of florals in the form of paillettes, prints, and embroidery. Here are some of my favorite looks:

If you haven’t noticed yet, Ed Westwick was one of the attendees. Honestly, I didn’t know who he was but later I was told that he starred in Gossip Girl. When he arrived, it was quite a chaos. His car pulled up, and he got out right behind me. Suddenly, all the photographers swarmed like crazy. One lady even pulled out her phone and took a selfie with him before snapping any photos 😂. In the midst of the commotion and confusion, I managed to snap a few pictures of him from a very close proximity.

The next show I covered was Giorgio Armani, it was a cloudy and gloomy morning and boy I was loving the moody shots I took of everyone there.

And once again, I ran into some celebrities I didn’t recognize, but I just started snapping like everyone else. This time it was Adrien Brody, Joe Alwyn, and Matt Smith. They came in a group of at least 10 people, including bodyguards, and there was even a guy following them with a boom mic.

Psst, I didn’t realize Matt Smith was right next to Adrien Brody. I thought he was one of the bodyguards, so I accidentally cut him out of the photo.

Can you see why I thought Matt Smith was one of the bodyguards?
